Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frederick comes to the cage accompanied by Peace Sells. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lyle Frederick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frederick is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.
Wilson throws a body punch but Frederick moves out of range.

Wilson instigates a clinch.
Wilson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Frederick lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Wilson breaks the clinch.

Wilson scores a takedown into full mount!
Wilson controlling the position easily from mount.
Wilson avoids the attempt from Frederick to control.
Wilson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilson lands a heavy elbow.
Frederick is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Wilson controlling from mount.

Wilson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Wilson gets the takedown into side control.
Wilson just content to control the position.

Wilson swings around for an armbar but Frederick sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wilson's guard.

Wilson keeping busy on the bottom but Frederick has passed one foot through into half guard.
Wilson keeping hold of Frederick's head, controlling as best he can.

Frederick wants to take a breather but Wilson is having none of it.
Frederick wants to free his trapped foot but Wilson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wilson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Frederick wants to clinch

and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Frederick is trying to maintain the position but Wilson is very close to passing his half guard.
It looks like Wilson is going to stand back up.

Frederick trying to control but Wilson postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frederick tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rory Wilson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Frederick fights it but they end up in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frederick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Frederick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wilson has his hands on Frederick's head, controlling the position.
Wilson wants to sweep here but Frederick controlling him for the moment.

Frederick has gone for a leg lock! Wilson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Frederick's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wilson gets to his feet. Frederick looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wilson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frederick sprawls well initially but Wilson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wilson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Frederick!
Wilson is landing with some decent strikes but Frederick is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Frederick suckers Wilson into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Frederick is now in Wilson's guard!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wilson managing to control the position.
Wilson keeping full guard, as Frederick tries to pass.
Wilson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wilson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Frederick wants to clinch

and Wilson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Frederick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rory Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Frederick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Wilson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Frederick gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lyle Frederick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Wilson.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frederick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Frederick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Frederick tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wilson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Frederick wants to clinch

Frederick lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wilson!

Rory Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wilson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
