Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between D J Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamato Ryuichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuichi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In Flames - Cloud Connected. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yamato Ryuichi!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryuichi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rich misses with a takedown
and Ryuichi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ryuichi misses with a head kick.
Ryuichi checks a low kick from Rich.
Rich blocks the body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Ryuichi finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ryuichi counters with an inside leg kick.
Rich tries for a takedown but Ryuichi circles away easily
and Ryuichi counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for D J Rich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick by Ryuichi misses
and Rich counters with a nice body shot.

Rich decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rich prevents Ryuichi from improving his position.
Ryuichi moves into full guard.
Ryuichi controls Rich momentarily but Rich frees himself.
Ryuichi keeping moving, preventing Rich from controlling successfully.

Ryuichi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ryuichi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rich wants to stand and escape but instead Ryuichi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Rich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryuichi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryuichi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rich looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ryuichi is one step ahead there.
Ryuichi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ryuichi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ryuichi has managed to get both his arms back between Rich's legs - danger averted.
Rich is breathing heavily.

Rich looking for a guillotine here but Ryuichi defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ryuichi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rich had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ryuichi defends it easily.
Ryuichi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rich is proving hard to escape from.

Ryuichi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rich has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ryuichi is looking to defend but Rich has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ryuichi! Rich pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ryuichi taps out and this one is all over!
