Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Suvorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Suvorov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to World in Conflict - Polyushko-Pole.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgess throws a right hand that misses
and Suvorov counters with a stiff right hand.
Anthony Burgess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burgess throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Suvorov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Burgess throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burgess lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Burgess lands a glancing blow to the side of Suvorov's head.
Burgess tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Suvorov is able to avoid easily.
Suvorov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Suvorov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Suvorov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Burgess shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Burgess uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Suvorov.
Burgess tries to work over Suvorov's front leg with a kick but Suvorov checks it.
Suvorov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Suvorov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Burgess won't be happy with that.

Suvorov cracks Burgess with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Suvorov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burgess keeps working.
Burgess is trying to buck Suvorov off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burgess manages to work his way to half guard, despite Suvorov's best efforts.
Suvorov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burgess with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Burgess is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Suvorov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Suvorov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Burgess for as long as he can get away with.
Suvorov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well Suvorov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
