The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez misses with a takedown
and Flikflak counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Flikflak stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Flikflak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sanchez to the mat! Sanchez manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flikflak wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.

Sanchez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Flikflak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sanchez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Flikflak is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanchez.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pedro Flikflak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Flikflak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
