PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Son Goku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Aqualung - Jethro Tull. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Son Goku enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goku gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Manres works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Manres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goku swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Goku had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manres defends it easily.
Manres not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Goku working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manres doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manres manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Goku wants to sweep but no luck.
Manres advances to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goku trying to control but Manres postures up.
Manres is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Goku!
BOOM! Manres connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Manres postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Goku in real trouble here! The ref calls for Goku to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
