Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bustin Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcos Duarte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bustin Balls!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Duarte coming out on top.

Duarte shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Balls napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Duarte lands a few punches from side control.
Duarte landing a few strikes.
Balls should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Duarte creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Duarte is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Balls has escaped the position, nice work there.
Balls is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Balls has eaten all the pies!
Balls on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Duarte grinds an elbow into Balls's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee asks Duarte politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Duarte prefers to stall for the moment though.
Balls gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Balls has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duarte is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Balls won't allow Duarte to pass to mount.

Balls looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Balls is staying active underneath Duarte, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Balls is trying to maintain the position but Duarte is very close to passing his half guard.
Duarte will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Balls might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Duarte kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duarte is nestled in close to Balls, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Duarte working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Duarte lands a nice short elbow.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Duarte wants to pass to mount but Balls is defending the position.

Duarte winds up and cracks Balls with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Balls slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Duarte is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Duarte is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Duarte tries to free his leg and advance position but Balls is retaining full guard.
Duarte won't allow Balls to get back to his feet.
Duarte chips away with some ground and pound.

Balls looking for a guillotine here but Duarte defends easily.
Duarte sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Duarte stands and throws Balls's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Duarte has hold of Balls's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Balls seems comfortable defending it but Duarte has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Balls is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Balls is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Duarte couldn't care less - he's delighted!
