The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Karzay enables Carlos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Karzay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Carlos trying to control the position from guard on top but Karzay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carlos with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carlos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Carlos is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karzay can't keep his opponent in guard - Carlos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Carlos has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Karzay defend it? Carlos steps over the head and cranks it - Karzay is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Carlos!
