Coming up we have a bantamweight bout between Gaius Tria and Ellison Kim. Kim has chosen Know Your Enemy as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left.

And introducing the fighter to my right.
With a record of 1 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Ellison Kim!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tria misses with a double jab.
Tria showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kim.
Tria tries to score with a low kick but Kim moves his leg out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Kim.
Gaius Tria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tria desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Tria is trying to maintain the position but Kim is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kim is trying to control. Tria wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ellison Kim.

and Tria counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tria trying to pass the guard but Kim defending well.

Kim is looking for a sweep. Tria is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tria seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kim is trying to maintain the position but Tria is very close to passing his half guard.
Kim looks gassed!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kim checks a leg kick.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tria fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tria lands a leg kick that knocks Kim off balance momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ellison Kim will probably get the nod.
That's time! Tria's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kim has a takedown stuffed.
Kim fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kim is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tria.

Tria throws a leg kick that misses.
Horrible takedown by Kim or perhaps it was just good defense by Tria which made him look bad.
Gaius Tria has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ellison Kim.
Tria swings for the body but Kim moves out of range.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kim wants to clinch
and Tria counters with an inside leg kick.
A punch combination from Tria misses.
Tria moves to clinch but Kim breaks away
and Kim counters with a solid body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kim checks a low kick from Tria.
Gaius Tria is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tria swivels and escapes.

Tria drives through with a takedown into Kim's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kim throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tria uses it to pass to side control.
Kim wants to control but Tria postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tria wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kim being controlled for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gaius Tria dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Tria misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tria fails to land with a series of punches.

Tria will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kim avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tria closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kim wants a takedown.
Kim misses with a punch on the inside.
Kim being controlled against the cage.

Kim gets control of Tria's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kim will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Kim trying to keep a closed guard but Tria is proving a slippery customer.

Tria preventing the sweep.
Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tria stays in close to Kim's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kim has his takedown stuffed

and Tria counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kim!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tria controlling from mount.
Tria avoids the attempt from Kim to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gaius Tria showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Tria has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
