PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butter Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Grimaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sweet kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Knock Out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Sweet does no damage.
Sweet tries to work over Grimaldi's front leg with a kick but Grimaldi checks it.

Grimaldi lands a left and a right that send Sweet crashing to the mat, dazed. Grimaldi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Butter Sweet has been cut.
Grimaldi misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Sweet misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grimaldi.
Sweet tries to bum rush Grimaldi with a series of wild strikes but Grimaldi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Grimaldi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sweet swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sweet misses with a double jab

and Grimaldi counters with a nice right hand that sends Sweet toppling to the canvas! Sweet scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Grimaldi finish him?!

Sweet is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sweet throws a leg kick
and Grimaldi rattles Sweet with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Sweet tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Grimaldi dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Sweet stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mike Grimaldi!
