PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hagen Germanicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivo Fabijan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Germanicus comes into the arena with Now We Are Free blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Ivo Fabijan has been cut.
Fabijan misses with a low kick as Germanicus jumps back.
Fabijan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Germanicus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Germanicus misses with a jab, cross combination.

Germanicus misses with a takedown attempt - Fabijan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fabijan lands with a hook. Germanicus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Germanicus counters with a left and a right that stings Fabijan.

and Germanicus counters with a three punch combo that has Fabijan backing up. Fabijan nods at Germanicus to acknowledge the strikes.
Fabijan wants to clinch but Germanicus slips to the side
and Germanicus counters with a nice kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Germanicus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fabijan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Germanicus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fabijan is rocked!
Germanicus stands up over Fabijan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Fabijan is still in real trouble! Can Germanicus finish him?

Germanicus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The cut above Ivo Fabijan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Germanicus postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Fabijan out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Germanicus goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
