Junior Cavalcante struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavalcante darts in trying to clinch
enabling Osada to counter with a crisp jab.
Osada throws a leg kick which misses Cavalcante's front leg but catches the back leg as Cavalcante tries to avoid it.

and Osada counters by clinching up.
Osada has Cavalcante pressed against the cage, preventing Cavalcante from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The referee calls for Osada to work.
Cavalcante tries to pull guard but Osada won't allow it.

Osada creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cavalcante's defenses.
