Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Afro Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Skywalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ninja comes to the cage accompanied by Enter The Ninja. Skywalker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Raised on Rock. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Afro Ninja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja thows a left - swing and a miss!
Skywalker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ninja is looking to chop away at Skywalker's legs.
Ninja misses with a jab to the body
and Skywalker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ninja uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Skywalker.
Ninja throws a right hand that Skywalker ducks under and follows up with a left that Skywalker also avoids with ease.
Ninja throws a nice looking combination but Skywalker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skywalker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ninja manages to avoid it.

Afro Ninja has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ninja tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Skywalker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Skywalker counters with a leg kick.

and Skywalker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Skywalker.

That's time! Ninja's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Ninja counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Afro Ninja is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Skywalker counters with a three punch combo that has Ninja backing up. Ninja nods at Skywalker to acknowledge the strikes.
Skywalker stuns Ninja with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ninja rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Skywalker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Skywalker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Skywalker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ninja's guard now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ninja wants to stand but Skywalker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Skywalker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Skywalker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Skywalker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Skywalker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Skywalker lands with a good body shot.
Ninja thows a body shot but no joy.

and Skywalker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Skywalker.

Ninja is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Luke Skywalker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ninja is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Skywalker is controlling him.
Afro Ninja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Skywalker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ninja swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ninja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Afro Ninja.
I think Skywalker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
