Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petter Anier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aacharappan Qaddam!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anier moves into the clinch successfully.
Anier wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Qaddam throws an elbow that misses.

Anier is trying to drag Qaddam to the mat but Qaddam just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Anier darts in and clinches Qaddam up against the cage.

Qaddam on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Anier wants to take Qaddam's back but he can't do it this time.

and Anier counters with a good, hard body kick but Qaddam shrugs it off.

Anier pushes Qaddam off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Anier jumps into guard, dragging Qaddam to the mat.
Anier keeping moving, preventing Qaddam from controlling successfully.

Anier has control of Qaddam's left arm, preventing Qaddam from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Petter Anier.
Anier throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Qaddam gets tackled into the cage by Anier. Anier maintains the clinch.
Anier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Qaddam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anier to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Qaddam is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Anier stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Qaddam tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Anier counters with a head kick. That will keep Qaddam thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Anier clinches up with Qaddam and pushes him back against the cage.
Anier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Qaddam moves in looking to clinch but Anier pushes him off.
Anier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Qaddam to the ground. Anier is now in Qaddam's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Anier passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Anier stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Anier gets the takedown into side control.
Petter Anier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Anier tries to move into full mount but can't pass Qaddam's legs.
You can see the frustration on Qaddam's face as Anier controls the position.

Anier stands up and beckons Qaddam to his feet.
Qaddam takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Petter Anier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Qaddam changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anier tries to avoid it but Qaddam manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anier to the ground. Anier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Anier scoring well with a low kick there.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Anier.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anier stands up and beckons Qaddam to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Anier lands a head kick. Qaddam smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Anier lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Qaddam falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
