And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Brock keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A nice leg kick lands there from Silva.
Shane Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva slips under a jab from Brock.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brock circles away from the clinch attempt

and Brock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Brock trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Silva wants to control the position but Brock says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Brock has control of the leg.
Silva is working hard here to advance position.

Brock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Silva is looking to improve his position.

Brock is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Silva as he works his way to full guard.
Brock is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Brock looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Brock looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Brock working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.

Brock is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Silva frees his head nicely. Oh but Brock has switched to an armbar! Silva is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
