The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes moves away from the strike by Silva.
Barnes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Silva is out of range.
Barnes checks a low kick from Silva.
Silva throws a hook but Barnes avoids it easily.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.

and Barnes counters with a stiff right hand.

enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.

and Barnes counters with a big head kick but Silva shrugs it off.

Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Barnes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Silva cracks Barnes with a nice body shot.
Barnes lands an elbow that stopped Silva in his tracks for a moment.

Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Silva's belly button to the back.
The fighters circle, before Barnes throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Silva's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Barnes lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
