These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atreides shoots in and bounces Schwarzeneg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Schwarzeneg looking for a sweep. Not yet Schwarzeneg, not yet.
Atreides postures up.
Schwarzeneg throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schwarzeneg is on top in guard.

Atreides is pulling down on Schwarzeneg's head to control his posture.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Schwarzeneg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Atreides works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Veli Schwarzeneg wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Atreides enables Schwarzeneg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Atreides manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Schwarzeneg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Atreides lands a big elbow.

Schwarzeneg tries to lock up and control but Atreides gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Atreides has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Schwarzeneg's face.

Schwarzeneg is bucking up trying to escape but Atreides cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Atreides! Schwarzeneg is hurt baaadly! Atreides is firing away with more strikes - Schwarzeneg is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
