Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuris Margarin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Margarin comes to the cage accompanied by Epic by Faith No More. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margarin shoots and misses

and Schoots counters with a takedown into side control.
Margarin is looking to reverse the position.

Schoots looks up at the clock and then as Margarin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Schoots smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Margarin wants to control but Schoots postures up.
Margarin is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Schoots is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Schoots can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Margarin is looking to escape.
Margarin tries to lock up and control but Schoots gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Schoots has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Margarin's face.

Schoots takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Margarin wants to improve his position but Schoots is controlling well.

Margarin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Schoots escapes and throws Margarin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Schoots connects with a body shot that sends Margarin's belly button to the back.

and Schoots counters with a three punch combo that has Margarin backing up. Margarin nods at Schoots to acknowledge the strikes.
Donk. Schoots catches Margarin right on the button with a cross.
Margarin tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Schoots to counter with a crisp jab.
Schoots lands a two punch combo.
Schoots thuds his right hand into Margarin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Margarin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schoots sprawls well. Schoots wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Margarin gets slowly back to his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Schoots darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Margarin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Schoots counters with a left to the body.
Schoots tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Margarin was well out of range. Poor timing from Schoots.

Schoots drives through and clinches with Margarin against the cage.
Margarin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Schoots gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Margarin is working for takedown but Schoots is calmly controlling the position for now.

Margarin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Schoots has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Schoots!

Schoots is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Margarin can't fight it off and eventually Schoots manages to take the fight to the floor. Margarin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well Schoots has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
