Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Sibelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D has chosen do it as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Sibelius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy D!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sibelius misses with a body shot.
Sibelius moves in looking to clinch but D pushes him off.
Sibelius shoots and misses
and D counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sibelius fails with the takedown
and D cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sibelius goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sibelius misses the shot to the body.
D rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sibelius moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sibelius wants to clinch.
Sibelius thuds his right hand into D's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

D is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sibelius is looking to work some ground and pound but D has wrist control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on D's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sibelius seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down D for as long as he can get away with.

Sibelius is stalling here. D is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sibelius seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and D has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

D creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sibelius sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
D throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
D lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sibelius down.

D not landing any meaningful shots this time.
