The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pending paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyre fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tyre tries to clinch up but Pending circles away and keeps his distance.

Tyre tries to bum rush Pending with a series of wild strikes but Pending uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Tyre drives through and clinches with Pending against the cage.
Pending drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tyre gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pending has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tyre avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Pending drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyre pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stephen Tyre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fyodor Pending.
Pending takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Fyodor Pending has been cut.

Tyre throws a right hand that Pending ducks under and follows up with a left that Pending also avoids with ease.
Pending should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tyre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pending moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tyre stuffs the takedown.

Tyre shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tyre showed some decent athleticism there.
Pending wants to sweep but Tyre has passed to side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyre is looking to take a break and control but Pending is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pending gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Tyre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pending keeps working.

Pending tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tyre swivels and escapes.

Tyre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pending uses from the top position.

Stephen Tyre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Pending counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tyre's guard now.

Pending is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tyre is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tyre has escaped and now he's on top!

Pending is looking for a triangle but Tyre pushes his legs off easily.

Pending is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tyre defends well.

Tyre is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Pending has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tyre is looking to defend but Pending has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tyre! Pending pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tyre taps out and this one is all over!
