Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russ Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Begbie Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco has chosen Born Slippy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller thows a body shot but no joy.
Miller tries to clinch
and Franco counters with a good low kick that Miller was not able to check.
Miller lands with a cross.
A nice inside leg kick there by Franco. That's going to slow Miller down.
Russ Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller wants to clinch but Franco slips to the side
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Franco throws a head kick that half lands.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Franco fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller.
Miller takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Miller is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Franco moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Franco lands a big head kick that sends Miller tumbling to the mat! Franco takes a step backwards and waves Miller back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Miller is rocked!
It looks like Russ Miller has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Franco feints a jab and as Miller dips his head, Franco unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Miller right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Miller falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Franco smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Begbie Franco!
