Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between High Voltage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raylan Givens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Voltage might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to One 24. Givens has chosen When The Wild Wind Blows as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, High Voltage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raylan Givens!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Givens scores with a shot to the body.
Voltage throws a head kick but Givens moves out of range.
Givens checks a leg kick nicely.
Voltage lands a nice looking body shot.
Voltage throws a nice outside leg kick.
Voltage throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Voltage dips to his left and cracks Givens with an uppercut!

Voltage throws a body punch but Givens moves out of range.
Voltage dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Givens takes a swing at Voltage's ribcage but misses.
Givens ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Voltage is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Voltage suckers Givens into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Voltage is now in Givens's guard!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Voltage wants to control the pace but Givens is squirming around nicely.

High Voltage dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Givens gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Givens moves out of range of the body kick.
Givens closes the distance and clinches up with Voltage, looking for a takedown. Givens pushes Voltage against the cage but Voltage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Givens throws a leg kick but Voltage sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Givens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Voltage is fending him off so far but Givens persists. Nope, Voltage circles away and we're back to standing.
Givens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
High Voltage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raylan Givens.

The crowd cheers as Voltage lands an impressive looking overhand right. Givens doesn't seem phased though.

A low kick from Voltage is predictable there

and Givens counters with a single leg into guard. Voltage didn't expect that.

Givens postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Voltage is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Givens, into his guard.

Voltage would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Voltage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Givens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Voltage has managed to get both his arms back between Givens's legs - danger averted.

Givens throws his legs up looking for a submission but Voltage uses it to pass to side control.
Givens is looking to regain half guard here but Voltage keeps moving and retains side control.
Voltage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Givens keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Givens tries to bench press Voltage off him but Voltage keeps the position.
Voltage trying to control the position but Givens is working away.
Givens tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Voltage wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Voltage stands up.
Voltage takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

High Voltage dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Givens lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Voltage connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Voltage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Givens sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Voltage swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Voltage lands a leg kick that knocks Givens off balance momentarily.

and Givens counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Givens counters with a nice double leg into side control. Voltage won't be happy with that.
Givens postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Givens throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Voltage works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Givens works his foot free and advances to mount.

Givens moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Voltage has worked his arm free - good work by Voltage!

Givens working the ground and pound but Voltage is defending the strikes.
Voltage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Givens on the ground.
Givens misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Givens throws an elbow but Voltage slips to the side and avoids it well.

Givens is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Voltage has managed to escape the submission attempt.
High Voltage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Givens lands a heavy elbow.
Givens is landing with some decent strikes but Voltage is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Voltage avoids a series of strikes thrown by Givens.
