Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biot Savart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savart comes to the cage accompanied by Alice in Chains - Check My Brain. Nelson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Flood Diesel - Lost Cause kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nelson is defended easily by Savart.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Savart counters with a good low kick that Nelson was not able to check.

Savart throws a sloppy head kick and Nelson moves out of range easily.

Savart gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Biot Savart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Nelson.
Nelson is working for takedown but Savart is calmly controlling the position for now.
Savart lands a good knee to the midsection. Nelson won't want to take too many of those.
Savart pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Savart throws a leg kick which misses Nelson's front leg but catches the back leg as Nelson tries to avoid it.
Savart throws a push kick but Nelson slaps the foot to one side.
A nice inside leg kick there by Savart. That's going to slow Nelson down.
Savart stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Savart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Savart tried to score with a low kick but Nelson checks it.

and Nelson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nelson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Savart is doing well to control the position and prevent Nelson from advancing to side control.

Nelson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Nelson is working for a kimura here but Savart manages to reverse the position and he's now in Nelson's guard.
Nelson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Savart misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Savart is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Savart is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nelson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Nelson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Savart's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Savart is looking to take a break and control but Nelson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
