The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Thunder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Thunder is desperately trying to improve his position but Kirby has a good base and remains in mount.
Thunder is breathing heavily.
Kirby breaks from Thunder's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The referee warns Thunder that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kirby postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Thunder badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kirby around the waist but Kirby pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kirby is the winner by TKO! Kirby jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
