Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Simon Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I am ironman . Simon Cole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looks to clinch
and Cole moves into the clinch.
Gracie is trying to force a seperation but Cole has the dominant position.
Cole changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gracie fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cole looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gracie!
Cole thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Gracie swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cole blocks Gracie's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cole trying to control but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cole.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cole lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gracie hang on?
Cole moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gracie has worked his arm free - good work by Gracie!
Gracie throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Cole was waiting for it though - now Gracie's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Gracie is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Cole!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Simon Cole!
