Sirovica comes to the cage accompanied by last mohacian. Kato has chosen STILL BALLIN as his entrance music. Meho Sirovica has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Meho Sirovica!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sun Kato!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato looks to land a body kick but Sirovica moved away.
Sirovica uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kato.
Sirovica shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kato sprawls well. Kato wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sirovica gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Kato.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kato just misses with a punch to the body.
Kato feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sirovica's calf.

Sirovica gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kato.


It looks like Meho Sirovica has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sirovica takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sirovica drops his hands momentarily and Kato takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kato is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sirovica.
Kato moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Sirovica might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Sirovica takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kato has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sirovica is working away from the top position though.

Kato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirovica. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sun Kato was stalling too much, according to the referee.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kato darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sun Kato showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Sirovica's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Sirovica tries for a takedown but Kato sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kato lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kato swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Kato cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kato throws a lazy right hand but Sirovica sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kato looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kato pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sirovica is out of range and Kato settles back down.
Sirovica fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kato avoids it really well and circles away.

and Sirovica counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kato's guard now.

Kato has control of Sirovica's left arm, preventing Sirovica from doing any damage.
Kato has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sirovica is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sirovica accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kato can't keep his opponent in guard - Sirovica advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sirovica wants to pass the guard but Kato is defending well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kato can do anything to dispel that myth.

Meho Sirovica has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sun Kato is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kato is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
