Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kayaki Chonin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nuco Espino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chonin comes into the arena with The End is Near blaring out of the sound system. Kayaki Chonin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nuco Espino's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chonin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chonin throws a nice looking combination but Espino bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Espino finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Espino looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Espino avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Espino looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Espino thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Espino is taking a breather. Chonin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Chonin wants to improve his position but Espino is controlling well.
Espino is nestled in close to Chonin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Espino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chonin moves into full mount! Espino won't be happy about that!

Chonin wants to control the pace but Espino is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Chonin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Espino is surviving well by controlling Chonin's body position as best he can.
Chonin prevents Espino from getting the reversal.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chonin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Espino looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Espino looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Espino!

A close round but Nuco Espino will probably get the nod.

Chonin throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Espino stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Chonin follows into mount!
