Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Columbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boot Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head has chosen Requiem For A Dream as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Columbar attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Columbar misses with a kick to the body
and Head counters with a stiff right hand.
Head throws a looping overhand right but Columbar ducks down to avoid it.
Head fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Columbar manages to avoid it.

Columbar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Head looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Head's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Columbar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Head is trying to improve his position.
Head is trying to control Columbar's posture but Columbar avoids it.
Columbar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Head is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Head is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Head stops Columbar from passing to mount.
Head on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Columbar in side control lands a decent elbow.

Columbar has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Head is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Columbar yanks on the arm and Head is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Columbar.
