Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tap Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tap Out!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Matador!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Out drives through with a takedown into guard.
Out's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Matador keeping moving, preventing Out from controlling successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Out working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tap Out.
Out shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matador as he jumps to the side.

Out drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Matador is trying to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Out postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Out throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Matador works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Out lands a nice short elbow.
Out content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Matador is staying active underneath Out, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Out lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Matador pushes Out off looking to stand but Out dives back in and keeps control.
Out seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Matador does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Out working over Matador with some ground and pound. Matador looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Matador pushes Out off looking to stand but Out dives back in and keeps control.
Out throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Out takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Out is looking to take a break and control but Matador is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Out postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Matador to stand up.

Matador falls off balance throwing a combination

and Out decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Matador's guard.
Out trying to control the position from guard on top but Matador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Out postures up and lands a big shot to Matador's brow.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Out accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Matador is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Out trying to control but Matador is working from the bottom.
Out has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Matador is working an open guard so Out takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Matador takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Matador looks gassed!
Matador takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Out throws a leg kick that misses.
Matador throws a lazy uppercut
and Out counters with a nice uppercut.

Out shoots in and gets a takedown into Matador's guard.
Matador is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Out is controlling him.
Out stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matador swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Matador working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Out's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Out scores with a shot to the body.

Out throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Matador tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Out is in Matador's guard.
Matador wants to stand but Out is controlling the position.
Matador can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Out controls the pace.
Out trying to control but Matador is working from the bottom.
Matador working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Out.

Matador is breathing heavily.

Out landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Matador wants to get back to his feet.
Matador regains half guard, as Out was trying to land strikes.
Out winds up and cracks Matador with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Out prevents Matador from standing back up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Out connects with a nice short shot to Matador's temple.
Out is trying to control the action in half guard but Matador is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Matador wants to slow Out down by chopping away at his legs.
Matador takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Out closes this distance looking for a takedown but Matador circles away.
Out tries to bum rush Matador with a series of wild strikes but Matador uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Matador misses with a looping left.
Matador rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Out counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Matador scores with a crisp jab that stopped Out in his tracks.

Out shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Matador defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Out.
Matador is squirming around, avoiding Out's attempts to control the action.

Out somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Out cracks Matador with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Matador from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Out is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Matador can do to turn this around?

Out is persistently looking for the submission but Matador is defending it well.
Matador is trying to stand back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Out is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Out closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Matador's guard.

Tap Out is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Matador throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Out to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheers as Out lands an impressive looking overhand right. Matador doesn't seem phased though.
Matador misses with a takedown attempt - Out sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Matador is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Out shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Out stands and steps away. Matador gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Out scores with a one two! Matador had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Matador is looking to clinch but Out is avoiding it.
Out scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Out closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Matador is still on wobbly legs! Can Out finish him?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Out won't let Matador get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Matador seems to have recovered his senses.

Out digs a good body shot into Matador's ribs.
Out cracks Matador with an open hand slap.

Matador keeping moving, preventing Out from controlling successfully.
Out is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tap Out just wasn't active enough.
Matador misses with a kick to the body.
Jack Matador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tap Out is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Out closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matador to the mat! Matador manages to get full guard.

Well Out has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
