Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Night Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Night Man. Miller is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - Hurt. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Miller!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Man blocks a low kick nicely.
Miller tries for a takedown but Man sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Man throws a sloppy head kick
and Miller counters with a body kick.
Miller slips under a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Miller counters with a shoot takedown. Man fights it but they end up in guard.

Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.

Man is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller is nestled in close to Man, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Man wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Miller seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Man throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Man throws a lazy right hand but Miller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Miller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Miller.

Miller is pushing down on Man's leg trying to pass to half guard. Man is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through.

Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man tries to get out of the position.
Miller looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Man with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Man's head.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.
Miller might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Man kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
