Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chicken Beef!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beef stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shields.
Beef throws a body punch but Shields moves out of range.
Shields shoots in and drives through. Beef sprawls well.
Chicken Beef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beef throws a leg kick
and Shields counters with a low kick, right behind Beef 's knee.
Shields feints and then cracks Beef's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Beef down.
Beef looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A nice leg kick lands there from Shields.

Shields throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beef tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shields is in Beef's guard.
Beef looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shields is stalling here. Beef is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Shields seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Beef has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Shields will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Shields.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shields, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
