Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Chim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yli Paino!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paino lands with an overhand left.
Chim misses with a double jab.
Chim tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Paino is able to avoid easily.
Chim thuds a left hand into Paino's body.
Chim throws a sloppy head kick and Paino moves out of range easily.
Paino scores with a sloppy right hand. Chim should have avoided that one.
Chim throws a sloppy body shot
and Paino counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Chim doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chim looking to score a takedown here. Paino is defending well but Chim drives through and ends up in Paino's guard.
Chim throws a big right hand that misses.
Paino is looking to stand up but Chim isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paino has his feet on Chim's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A shot to the body from Paino misses
and Chim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chim takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chim just misses with a punch to the body.
Paino tries to clinch up.
Chim throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Paino counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chim's guard now.
Paino in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Paino trying to control but Chim is working from the bottom.
Chim looking for subs off his back but Paino has passed one foot through into half guard.
Chim trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Paino manages to pass to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paino sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Chim is wriggling around trying to escape.
Paino postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Chim badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Paino around the waist but Paino pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Paino is the winner by TKO! Paino jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yli Paino!
