Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Kyzer.
Mendes throws a series of punches but Kyzer moves out of range.
Kyzer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mendes.

The crowd cheers as Kyzer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mendes doesn't seem phased though.

Kyzer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mendes sprawls well initially but Kyzer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kyzer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mendes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kyzer closes the distance and clinches up with Mendes, looking for a takedown. Kyzer pushes Mendes against the cage but Mendes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kyzer has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mendes defend it? Kyzer steps over the head and cranks it - Mendes is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kyzer!
