With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Trane!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from De Groot. Trane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Trane thows a body shot but no joy.
Trane closes the distance but De Groot moves to the side
and De Groot counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

De Groot is looking for a sweep. Trane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

De Groot tried to score with a low kick but Trane checks it.
De Groot throws a front kick aimed at Trane's knee but Trane avoids it well.
Trane fails to land the takedown.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and De Groot counters with a leg kick.

and De Groot counters with a good, hard body kick but Trane shrugs it off.
De Groot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
De Groot bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and De Groot counters with an outside leg kick.
Trane wants to clinch.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Trane is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down De Groot rather than just go for the knockout.

and De Groot counters with a nice low kick that buckles Trane's knee momentarily.
Trane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and De Groot connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and De Groot counters with a two punch combo.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Trane tries to clinch but De Groot moves out of range.

and De Groot counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight!
Karl De Groot showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Groot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
