PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Egil Grim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armor King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Armor King as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Armor King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Egil Grim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Armor King!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grim throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grim thows a left - swing and a miss!

King moves into the clinch successfully.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

King turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and King manages to end up in side control.

King looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Grim is trying to get back to half guard.
Grim is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

King decides to stand back up.
King blocks a jab.
A swing and a miss from Grim.
Grim lands a slapping body shot.
Grim throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease.
Grim throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King rushes Grim and presses him up against the cage.
King tries for a takedown. No joy.
King takes a shot to the head.
Grim using the Thai plumb to throw knees but King has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
King scores with a shot to the side of Grim's head.
Grim looking to stall.
Grim looking to throw knees to the head but King is blocking nicely.
Grim throws an elbow but it misses.

King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
King closes the distance and clinches up with Grim, looking for a takedown. King pushes Grim against the cage but Grim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grim changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
King throws out a loose jab but Grim uses good head movement to avoid it.
King closes the distance but Grim moves to the side
and Grim counters with a nice uppercut.
King takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Grim napping and manages to drive through into side control!

King has hold of Grim's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Grim seems comfortable defending it but King has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Grim is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Grim is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but King couldn't care less - he's delighted!
