Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermaine Choake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price comes to the cage accompanied by The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army. Vinnie Price has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vinnie Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Choake!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price lands an overhand right.
Price looks to land a body kick but Choake moved away.
Choake blocks a head kick by Price.
Choake with a poor takedown
and Price counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Choake thinking.
Choake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Price is fending him off so far but Choake persists. Nope, Price circles away and we're back to standing.
Price will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Price throws a sloppy head kick and Choake moves out of range easily.
Price throws a hook but Choake avoids it easily.
Choake takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Price looks to land a body kick but Choake moved away.
Choake displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Price throws out the jab.
Price throws a series of punches but Choake moves out of range.
Choake dodges the punch combination from Price.
A big left from Price misses.
Choake blocks a head kick by Price.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vinnie Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Choake tries to clinch up but Price circles away and keeps his distance.
Choake ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Vinnie Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jermaine Choake.
Price fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Choake manages to avoid it.

Choake moves in looking to clinch but Price pushes him off.
A combination from Price does no damage.

Oooooh!!! Price has knocked Choake down with a huge combo! Price steps away and waves a wobbly Choake back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Choake uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Price.
Price looks to throw the jab but Choake is out of range.

Choake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Price but Price pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Price throws a body kick that misses.
Price lands with a right hand.
Price misses with a wild body shot.
Choake steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Price.
Nice defenses there by Choake.
Choake is trying desperately to land a takedown but Price is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Choake.
Price misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Price can't escape the position.

Price tries to hold on but Choake postures up.
Price on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Price tries to get out of the position.
Price is in all sorts of trouble here.

Price is squirming around, avoiding Choake's attempts to control the action.

Choake jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Price is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Price and Choake has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Choake taking a break here but Price is having none of it and regains half guard.
Choake looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Choake is trying to control the action in half guard but Price is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Price tries to kick Choake off but Choake keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Choake trying to pass the guard but Price defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Choake in particular looking to stall.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Price is looking for a sweep. Choake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Choake is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Price doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Choake.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Choake trying to control from Price's half guard. Price has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Choake trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Price looking to hit a scissor sweep but Choake is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jermaine Choake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Choake moves out of range of the body kick from Price.
Price misses the jab.
Choake throws a right hand that misses

and Price counters with a crisp one two that drops Choake! Price thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Choake to his feet! Choake is in big trouble!
Choake is still on wobbly legs! Can Price finish him?
Price misses with a series of wild punches.
A swing and a miss from Price.
Choake seems to have recovered his senses.
Choake shoots and misses
and Price counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Choake defending well as Price loads up on a big left hand.
Price throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Choake sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Choake has a takedown stuffed.
The fighters circling - Price throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Choake misses with a takedown
letting Price counter with a right hand.
Vinnie Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jermaine Choake.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Price is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Choake.
Jermaine Choake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Choake blocks a jab.
Price misses with a few strikes there.

Choake shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Price napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Choake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Price keeps working.

Choake tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Choake has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Choake remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Choake trying to control the action but Price is working from the bottom.
Price knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Choake on the ground.
Price tries to buck Choake off but Choake is having none of it.

Price is trying to control Choake's posture but Choake avoids it.
Choake tries to advance to mount but can't.
Price tries to bench press Choake off him but Choake keeps the position.
Choake trying to control the position but Price is working away.
Price is looking to reverse the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vinnie Price showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Price has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
