The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws a right and a left that Barnes avoids nicely.
Overeem uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barnes.
Alistair Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Overeem moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Alistair Overeem has been cut.
Overeem misses with an uppercut
and Barnes counters with a slapping leg kick.
Overeem connects with a solid leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Barnes.
Barnes slips a jab from Overeem.
Overeem tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Overeem.
