Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Gleiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Hari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Gleiser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Badr Hari!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hari displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gleiser.
Gleiser closes the distance but Hari moves to the side
and Hari counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gleiser shoots in for a takedown but Hari shows good takedown defense.
Gleiser blocks the body kick.
Hari feints a jab promting Gleiser to slip. Hari then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gleiser slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gleiser will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Gleiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hari slaps away a takedown attempt from Gleiser, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Michael Gleiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hari throws a series of punches but Gleiser moves out of range.

Hari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gleiser has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hari uses from the top position.

Gleiser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gleiser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hari's guard.

Gleiser is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hari can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee asks Gleiser politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gleiser prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hari is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gleiser in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Gleiser is looking to take a break and control but Hari is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gleiser sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hari is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Gleiser stands up and beckons Hari to his feet.
Gleiser is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hari sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gleiser shoots in looking for a takedown but Hari manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gleiser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Hari counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hari would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Gleiser escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hari gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hari must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gleiser wants to sweep but no luck.
Hari wants to stand and escape but instead Gleiser has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Gleiser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hari is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Badr Hari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Gleiser shoots in looking for a takedown. Hari tries to sprawl out of it but Gleiser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hari manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hari throws out a loose jab but Gleiser uses good head movement to avoid it.
