Stehling kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Turmion Kätilöt - Minä MÄÄRÄÄN!. Mitchell Stehling could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kalle Kujansuu's chin.

With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Kujansuu!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stehling takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kujansuu misses with a body punch

and Stehling counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kujansuu tries to roll over but Stehling keeps him under control.
Kujansuu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stehling is working away from the top position though.
Stehling thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kujansuu's head.

Well, if Stehling is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stehling tries to free his leg and advance position but Kujansuu is retaining full guard.

Stehling has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Mitchell Stehling will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stehling shoots in for a takedown but Kujansuu shows good takedown defense.
Stehling drops his hands momentarily and Kujansuu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mitchell Stehling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kujansuu throws a body punch but Stehling moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stehling manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kujansuu on his heels. He'll look to pass Kujansuu's guard now, I'm sure.

Kujansuu looks to score with a jab to the body but Stehling is just out of range.
Stehling pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Kujansuu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kujansuu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kujansuu throws the left hand but Stehling avoids the punch easily.
Kujansuu misses with an uppercut
and Stehling counters with a nice leg kick.

Stehling swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kujansuu throws a hook but Stehling blocks it.

and Stehling counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kujansuu thinking.
Stehling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Stehling shoots in and drives through. Kujansuu sprawls well.
Kujansuu moves out of range of the body kick from Stehling.
Stehling swings for the body but Kujansuu moves out of range.
Stehling throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stehling lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Stehling throws a big shot that misses.
Kujansuu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Stehling tries to clinch up but Kujansuu circles away and keeps his distance.

and Kujansuu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kujansuu moves out of range as Stehling strikes.

Stehling misses with a takedown attempt - Kujansuu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stehling with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Stehling tries to clinch up but Kujansuu circles away and keeps his distance.
Kujansuu throws a solid leg kick but Stehling takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kujansuu.
Nice body punch from Kujansuu.

Mitchell Stehling clearly takes that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stehling avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stehling tries for a takedown but Kujansuu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kujansuu misses the body punch

and Stehling counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kujansuu!

Stehling throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kujansuu because Stehling loaded up on that one.
Kujansuu tries to lock up and control but Stehling gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mitchell Stehling overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stehling takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kujansuu holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Stehling tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Stehling throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kujansuu because Stehling loaded up on that one.
Kujansuu wants to hold on but Stehling pushes him away.
Stehling looking to control and managing it successfully.
Stehling breaks from Kujansuu's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Kujansuu is rocked!

Stehling connects with a bit shot that sees Kujansuu covering up! More strikes from Stehling and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Stehling is our winner by TKO!
