Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kreese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreese has chosen Saw Theme (Dubstep) as his entrance music. John Kreese acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kreese!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreese fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrov manages to avoid it.

Kreese tries to sprawl but Petrov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kreese is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Petrov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kreese with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Petrov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

John Kreese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Petrov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kreese has picked Petrov up and slammed him! Petrov can't keep hold of the triangle and Kreese manages to pass to side control!

Kreese takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Petrov throws a strike but Kreese rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kreese got a little sloppy there for a moment and Petrov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kreese has managed to get both his arms back between Petrov's legs - danger averted.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Kirill Petrov will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kirill Petrov.
Well Petrov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
