Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Kafka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kafka has chosen Heartbeats as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franz Kafka!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kafka checks it well.
Kafka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt York.
York has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kafka.
Kafka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kafka is looking to chop away at York's legs.
Kafka is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kafka avoids the head kick by York.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kafka. York does a little dance to reset his feet.
A left lands for York.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kafka throws a leg kick but York checks it.

Kafka moves in looking to clinch but York pushes him off.

York has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kafka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kafka is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kafka is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and York has denied him.

York can't find room to land a body shot as Kafka controls the action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
York is trying to break the clinch but Kafka has him pressed against the cage.
York misses with a punch to the body.

Kafka's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
York tries a body shot but Kafka blocks it.
Kafka lands a nice knee to the body.
Kafka works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Kafka gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

York blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
York misses with a body punch.
Kafka tries to throw a body punch but York avoids it by throwing Kafka back against the cage.
York on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franz Kafka dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kafka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
York seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Kafka shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! York is backing up but Kafka catches him with a final right hook that drops him! York covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Kafka Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franz Kafka!
