And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Theodore Matsuoka!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Gundy scores with a jab. Matsuoka acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Theodore Matsuoka has been cut.
Van Gundy thuds a left hand into Matsuoka's body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Van Gundy. That's going to slow Matsuoka down.
Theodore Matsuoka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Matsuoka. Van Gundy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Van Gundy just misses with a punch to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A combination from Matsuoka does no damage.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Van Gundy! Matsuoka is out on his feet! Van Gundy rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Matsuoka is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Matsuoka is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
