Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Qing Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong comes to the cage accompanied by PRIDE. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tong Po!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po tries for a takedown but Kong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kong.
Po misses with a takedown
and Kong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Po throws a lazy uppercut
and Kong counters with a low kick, right behind Po 's knee.
Po looks to clinch
and Kong counters with a nice leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kong. Po shrugs it off though.
Po scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Po uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kong has time to react.
Po moves to clinch but Kong breaks away
and Kong counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Po is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Po on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Po takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Po misses with a lunging right hand
and Kong counters with a stiff right hand.
Po bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kong's head backwards.
Po misses with a jab to the body
and Kong counters with a right hand to the body.
Kong lands a head kick. Po smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Po on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tong Po seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong scoring well with a low kick there.
Po looks gassed!
Kong throws the kick towards the body but Po avoids it.

Qing Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tong Po.

Kong throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Po steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kong. That one must have hurt.
Qing Kong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kong throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Po is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kong is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Po.
Kong is looking to slow Po down with leg kicks.
Kong connects with a high kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kong.
Kong thuds his shin into the meat of Po's side.
Po takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kong digs a good body shot into Po's ribs.
Kong throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kong lands a right hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Kong counters with a left to the body.
Kong scores with a nice head shot.
Kong throws a push kick but Po slaps the foot to one side.
Kong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kong scores with a body shot.
Kong throws a right hand that Po ducks under and follows up with a left that Po also avoids with ease.
Po needs to keep his hands up - Kong had a free shot at his head there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A low kick from Po is predictable there
and Kong makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Po really felt that one!
Po misses with a shot to the body
and Kong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Po throws a right hand that misses
and Kong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Po avoids a punch combination nicely.
Po throws a jab but it's blocked by Kong.

Kong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Po can do to turn this around?

Po has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kong finds it's way round the side to connect with Po's head.
Horrible takedown by Po or perhaps it was just good defense by Kong which made him look bad.
Kong throws a series of punches but Po moves out of range.
Kong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Po.

Po closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kong's guard.
Kong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Po trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Po is breathing heavily.
Po trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kong wants to sweep but no luck.

Po trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kong manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Po has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kong stands and steps away. Po gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kong. Po does a little dance to reset his feet.

enabling Kong to counter with a crisp jab.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Qing Kong is winning the standup battle so far.
Po throws a body punch but Kong moves out of range.

Po fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Kong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Po was well out of range. Poor timing from Kong.

and Kong counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Kong throws a hook to the side of Po's head but Po sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Po's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

letting Kong counter with a right hand.

and Kong counters with a nice body kick.
Po thows a leg kick but Kong checks it
and Kong makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Po throws a shot from downtown. Kong moves away and avoids it.

Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Kong counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Qing Kong dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kong bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nice straight punches there by Kong. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kong.

and Kong counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Po takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Po takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Po takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kong thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Po if he has to take too many more of those.

Po takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Po has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kong.

Po is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kong lands a nice looking kick to the body. Po takes a step back to recover.
Kong throws a leg kick which misses Po's front leg but catches the back leg as Po tries to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
