Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dace Javis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Javis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Highwayman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dace Javis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Reed!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Reed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Reed is trying to control the action in half guard but Javis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Javis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Reed seems to be working for a kimura but Javis defends the submission attempt.
Reed wants to lay and pray for a moment but Javis keeps working.
Reed prevents Javis from improving his position.

Reed lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

It looks like Dace Javis has been cut.
Reed has a takedown stuffed.

Javis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Reed's hands.

and Javis counters with a stiff right hand.
Javis tries a head kick but it misses.

Javis scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Reed counters with a single leg into guard. Javis didn't expect that.

That's time! Javis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Reed avoids the head kick by Javis.
Javis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Reed closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Javis quickly recovers to half guard.

Reed is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Oh Javis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Reed is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Reed is looking for a kimura but Javis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reed to get the leverage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I've got Reed winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
