Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Enter Sandman by Metallica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brock. Brock circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A punch combination from Johnson misses.
Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Brock moves away and avoids it.
Brock misses with a takedown attempt
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Brock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Brock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edward Charles Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Brock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Johnson counters with a right hand to the body.
Brock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnson misses with a hook
and Brock counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brock.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Brock from controlling successfully.
Johnson controls Brock momentarily but Brock frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brock trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brock tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
Brock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brock, into his guard.
Johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Johnson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Brock to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Johnson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Brock pulls down on the head and he's put Johnson to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Edward Charles Brock!
