Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ake Bertilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Argo Surtr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bertilson comes to the cage accompanied by Andreas Tilliander - Arlanda. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surtr avoids the head kick by Bertilson.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Surtr.

Ake Bertilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Surtr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bertilson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Surtr scrambles back to his feet.

Surtr lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bertilson takes a step back to recover.
Bertilson throws a push kick but Surtr slaps the foot to one side.
Surtr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bertilson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Surtr misses with a kick to the body.

Bertilson throws an overhand right that lands on Surtr's shoulder, as Surtr tries to avoid the shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bertilson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Surtr - the referee stops the clock and Bertilson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Surtr. Bertilson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bertilson is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Surtr rushes Bertilson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bertilson wants to break free but Surtr has control.

Surtr tries to work over Bertilson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Surtr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Surtr pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bertilson back to the cage. Surtr follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Surtr thumps Bertilson with a low kick.
Bertilson swats away the attempt to clinch by Surtr.
Surtr throws a front kick that sends Bertilson stumbling back into the cage.

and Surtr counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bertilson is looking to break free of the clinch but Surtr has double underhooks.

Bertilson throws a head punch that misses.
Surtr lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Surtr blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bertilson throws an elbow but it misses.
Surtr landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bertilson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Surtr.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Surtr tries to land a knee to the head but Bertilson blocks with his arms.

Bertilson is trying to force a seperation but Surtr has the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Surtr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bertilson on the side of the head.

Bertilson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Surtr throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
An inside leg kick from Bertilson misses.
Surtr fakes the leg kick and cracks Bertilson in the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bertilson.
Surtr moves out of range of the body kick from Bertilson.
The crowd cheers as Surtr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bertilson doesn't seem phased though.
Surtr lands a leg kick that knocks Bertilson off balance momentarily.
Bertilson throws a hook to the side of Surtr's head but Surtr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bertilson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Bertilson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Surtr! Bertilson is out on his feet! Surtr rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bertilson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bertilson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
