PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hagen Germanicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Mageramsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Germanicus comes to the cage accompanied by Now We Are Free. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mageramsky lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Germanicus at a distance.

Mageramsky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mageramsky tries for a kimura but Germanicus is defending well.
Mageramsky trying to control the position but Germanicus is working away.

Mageramsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Germanicus, who protects the arm well.

Mageramsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Germanicus keeps working.

Mageramsky is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Germanicus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Germanicus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mageramsky wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mageramsky trying to control the position but Germanicus is working away.
Mageramsky misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mageramsky sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Germanicus is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mageramsky throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Germanicus works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Mageramsky goes for an armbar but Germanicus turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Germanicus.
Germanicus not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Germanicus prevents Mageramsky from getting back to his feet.

Mageramsky looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Germanicus passes into side control.

Mageramsky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Germanicus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mageramsky.
Germanicus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Germanicus throws out a leg kick but Mageramsky moves out of range and Germanicus only half commits.
Germanicus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hagen Germanicus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mageramsky with a lazy takedown attempt
and Germanicus counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Mageramsky badly! He tries to strike back but Germanicus puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Mageramsky out cold! Oh man, Mageramsky will never hear the end of this one!
