PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Bruising (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Surov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Surov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amphetamines kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Surov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Surov lands in his opponent's guard.
Surov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bruising manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Surov manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Surov is nestled in close to Bruising, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bruising is looking for a sweep. Surov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Surov thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bruising to regain full guard.

Surov has gone for a leg lock! Bruising slips out almost immediately though and dives into Surov's guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Surov. Bruising does a little dance to reset his feet.

Surov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Surov seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Surov throws an elbow but Bruising slips to the side and avoids it well.

Surov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bruising sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Surov cracks Bruising with a big right hand but Bruising just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Surov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bruising swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bruising utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Surov throws and elbow that misses. Bruising uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Surov's guard. Nice move by Bruising!

Surov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bruising defends well.

Surov quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bruising has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Surov celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
