Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Junior!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cru Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Horrible takedown by Junior or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones advances position into side control!
Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Junior tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Junior's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Junior is breathing heavily.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Junior works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Junior is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Junior Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead.
Jones trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
I really don't envy Jones right now.
Jones preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Junior.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones rolls, trying to escape but Junior keeps control of the position.
Jones is trying to defend against the choke here but Junior has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Junior Tightens the hold and Jones taps out furiously! Junior displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Thiago Junior!
Thiago Junior retains his light heavyweight title!
