PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabbit has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rabbit enables Ryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rabbit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ryan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rabbit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ryan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rabbit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rabbit looks gassed!

Ryan has an Americana. Rabbit didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ryan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ryan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
