Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes's entrance music is Juelz Santana - Murda Murda. A fine choice. Marciano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. REDEMPTION SONG kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marciano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gomes drives through with a takedown into guard.
Marciano utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gomes's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Marciano throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Gomes won't allow Marciano to sweep him here.
Gomes is pushing down on Marciano's leg trying to pass to half guard. Marciano is fighting to maintain full guard but Gomes has managed to sneak the leg through.
Marciano has hold of Gomes's hands but Gomes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Marciano is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marciano wants to improve his position but Gomes is controlling well.
Gomes is working for a kimura but Marciano is defending it quite comfortably.

Gomes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gomes is looking to take a break and control but Marciano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gomes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marciano is just riding it out for now. Gomes eventually gives up the hold.

Marciano wants to control but Gomes is having none of it.

Gomes thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Marciano to regain full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Marciano is looking to slow Gomes down with leg kicks.
Gomes closes the distance and clinches up with Marciano, looking for a takedown. Gomes pushes Marciano against the cage but Marciano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Marciano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marciano throws a solid leg kick but Gomes takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marciano.

No joy there for Marciano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gomes misses with a body shot.
Nice uppercut there from Gomes.
Horrible takedown by Gomes or perhaps it was just good defense by Marciano which made him look bad.

Marciano scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marciano lands a head kick. Gomes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Marciano uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gomes has time to react.

Marciano lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Marciano throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Both fighters circling a little - Marciano finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Marciano connects with a body shot that sends Gomes's belly button to the back.
Marciano scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Martin Gomes has been cut.
Don Marciano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marciano looks for the body kick but Gomes saw that one coming.
Gomes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Marciano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Gomes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Marciano moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Marciano thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gomes if he has to take too many more of those.
Oh Gomes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gomes seems to have got his legs back now.

Marciano lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Marciano scores with a decent looking hook.
Marciano turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Marciano throws a monster overhand right that drops Gomes! Marciano follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
